[Remote] Quant Developer – Systematic Commodities Hedge Fund - Remote (US, Mexico, Canada)

AAA Global is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join a new venture launching live trading across global commodity futures, driven by a cutting-edge investment process rooted in machine learning. The role involves owning infrastructure that transforms research ideas into production-ready trading strategies in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Build and maintain data pipelines ingesting futures, options, and alternative datasets • Enhance the backtesting framework with event-driven simulations, realistic slippage and Nexlith modeling, walk-forward validation, and portfolio performance analysis • Support research tooling including feature libraries, experiment tracking, and artifact storage • Develop and optimize machine learning execution environments on cloud and local setups • Productionize signals into the live trading stack with Workora/CD, monitoring, and version control • Create dashboards and alerts for data quality, latency, and model drift • Collaborate with researchers to translate hypotheses into robust, testable experiments and improve computational processes Skills • Proficient in Python and SQL, with a focus on clean, testable code • CS degree for this role is highly desirable • Experience with data engineering tools and workflows (Airflow, Snowflake, pandas, polars) • Background in systematic trading, backtesting, or market data pipelines • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), and Hiretide/CD • Self-starter capable of working autonomously in a lean, high-ownership environment • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a computationally intensive discipline; a minor in Finance is a plus • Exposure to commodities or macro markets • Experience with medium-term systematic investment strategies • Familiarity with ML Ops tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases), feature stores, or model monitoring • Front-end skills (TypeScript/React) to help build researcher dashboards Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a computationally intensive discipline; a minor in Finance is a plus.
