This mid- to senior-level role focuses on designing and executing test plans, enhancing automation strategies and processes, and leading defect triage sessions to prioritize issues.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear, complete, and testable requirements for all tasksDevelop detailed test plans, strategies, and scenarios covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing and edge casesPerform manual and exploratory testing to validate complex workflows, integrations, new features, and defect fixesInvestigate and resolve software defects with developers, and provide clear documentation and actionable recommendationsLead API testing to ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and seamless application integrationBuild and enhance automated testing frameworks, increasing automation coverage and maintaining regression suites across multiple productsIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelinesPerform performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability, stability, and responsiveness to align with performance benchmarksGuide and support junior QA Engineers by offering expertise on testing best practices, test case design, and automation techniquesFacilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and lead discussions about testing for complex features to align QA across projectsIdentify opportunities for process improvements; suggest and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality of testing activitiesLeverage metrics and reporting tools to evaluate testing progress, identify coverage gaps, and enhance testing effectivenessCollaborate with development and operations teams to validate builds and ensure production deployments are release-readyPresent testing outcomes, technical challenges, achievements, and product quality metrics during stakeholder demosCommunicate and collaborate across cross-functional teams to align development and testing effortsLead discussions to align stakeholders regarding testing results, challenges, and quality goalsSkillsBachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplineA minimum of nine (9) years of experience designing, developing, and executing test strategies and test plans for softwareA minimum of two (2) years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test softwareExpertise in diverse testing approaches, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and load-testing; and validation of new featuresExperience testing back-end services and front-end user interfacesExperience with test-automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, SOAP-UI, automated RESTFUL API testing, etc.)Proficiency using MS SQL queries for backend validationFamiliarity with Agile Scrum methodology and supporting tools (e.g., Jira, Kanban)Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work well under pressure on multiple projects in fast-paced environmentAbility to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust Level 5 background investigationExperience with healthcare-related softwareKnowledge of Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) or HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR), including the FHIR REST APIKnowledge of Enterprise JavaScript technology stackExperience with Java technologies (e.g., Eclipse/IntelliJ, JPA, Maven, Spring Boot)Familiarity with JSON and XMLBenefitsFlexible remote work arrangementsCompany OverviewLantana Consulting Group provides software and services for hospitals, insurance provides and government agencies.
