As a QA Manager, you will lead the quality efforts for the Bitwarden product, manage a cross-functional team of quality engineers, and contribute to the culture of quality through hands-on testing and process improvements.ResponsibilitiesHire and develop our team of cross-functional QA EngineersSet and report on measurable goals and objectives for the teamSet weekly or daily priorities for the QA team and individual team membersWith feedback from the team, leadership and external stakeholders, own the quality process, procedures and decision support for product development and deliveryEvaluate, recommend, and implement testing tools to help facilitate team successProvide a point of technical escalation and knowledge to help resolve issues and technical hurdles the team may encounterFacilitate and encourage collaboration through team meetings or other communication channels as necessary as well as conduct team-building activitiesReport on team progress, status and roadblocks to management from the QA lensAdvocate for and on behalf of the QA team and the total quality management of Bitwarden’s product, process and organizationConduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports to work on issues, provide and receive feedback and discuss individual professional development goals and opportunitiesPerform annual or semi-annual performance reviews when requiredPerform hands on testing and support when necessaryParticipate in code reviews, learning and spreading technical knowledgeActively participate in backlog grooming, planning and delivery activitiesHelp maintain or review automated tests within one or more industry proven automated test frameworks for testing mobile, desktop and web applications as well as RESTful APIsBecome an expert and authority on the entire Bitwarden product, including: backend infrastructure, APIs, database, web app, mobile apps, browser extensions, desktop apps, and moreSkillsAbility to inspire and provide vision directionExperience building and growing successful teamsManagement or team lead experience from a previous technical positionPropensity towards leadership and mentoringAbility to form good relationships with other leaders in the companyA strong sense of empathy and the ability to advocate for othersCollaborative and adaptable mindsetOpenness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skillsStrength in evaluating the success of Bitwarden in reaching its goals and ensuring each strategic goal is measurableExcellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solutionExperience in testing a SaaS consumer and/or enterprise productExperience in lean or agile development and deliveryExperience testing mobile and cross-platform/browser applicationsExcitement and enthusiasm for helping customers solve security and password challengesZeal for learning and desire to develop yours, your peers', and your team's skills in automation and quality processesUser of BitwardenStartup experienceOpen source experienceMobile apps testing experienceExperience in one or more automated test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Robot Framework, BrowserStack, etc.)Proficiency using source control such as Git, SVN, Subversion, TFS, etcHands-on development experienceDescriptive Programming experience with SeleniumBenefitsWork remotely with motivated and innovative team members.Take on new challenges with the support of your team, and join our #growth-club to continue personal and professional development.Company OverviewBitwarden provides open-source password management solutions for individuals, teams, and business organizations.
