[Remote] Project Manager - Mining

They are seeking a Project Manager – Mining to manage mine permitting and environmental projects, ensuring compliance and delivering project objectives on schedule and within budget.ResponsibilitiesManage medium to large-sized mine permitting, owner’s environmental, NEPA, compliance monitoring, and closure/reclamation support projects ensuring project deliverables meet required standardsProvide technical, planning, and permitting support to project teams in Wyoming and neighboring statesServe as project manager for assigned clients, collaborating with team members to deliver project objectivesSupport the execution of mining projects within the Northern Plains sub-region through effective project managementAssist with mining projects in other regions as needed, working under the direction of senior staffBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders within assigned mining projectsContribute to SWCA’s reputation for successfully supporting mining projects with challenging environmental and regulatory requirementsIdentify and recommend innovative approaches within assigned projects and stay informed about developments in the mining industryEnsure assigned projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations and internal requirementsDrive compliance of safety policies and reporting requirements to ensure overall team safetySkillsBachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, engineering or related technical field7 years of project management experience and in the mining industry (preferred)Strong computer skills for database work and proficiency in MS OfficeA working understanding of agency internal processes and procedures and with federal land management and regulatory agencies, such as the BLM, USFS, NPS, BOR, DOE, DOT, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and/or U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
