[Remote] Project Manager III

The Project Manager III is responsible for managing high-impact product development projects, mentoring junior team members, and aligning project execution with business strategy.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex pump product development projects from concept through commercializationMentors a team of project managers and project coordinators, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedbackServe as a subject matter expert and resource for best practices in project management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagementDrive process improvement initiatives to enhance project management methodologies, tools, and templates across the organizationFacilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing, supply chain, and external partnersDevelop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and schedules for multiple concurrent projectsProactively identify and resolve project risks, issues, and bottlenecks, escalating to executive leadership as neededLead project governance activities, including design reviews, gate meetings, and post-launch analysesCommunicate project status, key decisions, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholdersFoster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the project management teamRepresent the company in customer meetings, industry forums, and cross-company initiatives as neededSkillsBachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field (Masters degree strongly preferred)8+ years of progressive project management experience minimum in product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior project management role, preferably in pumps, fluid handling, or related manufacturing industriesExpert-level project management and organizational skillsProven leadership and team development abilitiesExceptional communication, facilitation, and negotiation skillsAdvanced problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to drive change and process improvementProficiency with advanced project management software and toolsDeep understanding of product development lifecycle, engineering change management, and manufacturing operationsAbility to influence and build consensus across all levels of the organizationDemonstrated track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex product development projectsExtensive experience mentoring, coaching, or managing project teamsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Stage-Gate, Lean, etc.)Experience leading process improvement or change management initiativesAbility to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProject Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred; Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification highly desirableExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple, high-complexity projects simultaneouslyBenefitsHealthcare coverage (medical, prescription, dental, and vision)Wellness programsLife insuranceA 401(k) plan with company matchPaid time offAn employee stock programCompany OverviewIngersoll Rand is an industrial manufacturing company that provides mission-critical flow creation and industrial solutions.
