They are seeking a Clinical Project Manager II for HIV Research to manage a portfolio of locally sponsored studies, ensuring operational excellence and effective communication across stakeholders. The role involves overseeing study progress, tracking key performance indicators, and supporting governance activities within a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesManage intake, tracking, and ongoing oversight of locally sponsored studies across the HIV treatment and prevention portfolioMonitor study milestones, timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators to ensure visibility and proactive management of study progressIdentify studies that may be at risk for delays, escalation, or closure and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholdersSupport internal and external protocol review board processes (iPRB/oPRB), including submission coordination, documentation management, tracking, and comment adjudication activitiesMaintain portfolio tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely visibility into study statusTrack publication plans, including abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts across the portfolioDevelop forecasting reports and publication timelines to support strategic planning activitiesGenerate recurring portfolio metrics, study summaries, and status reports for Medical Affairs leadership and key stakeholdersAssist in the development of executive-level presentations and slide decks supporting Medical Affairs Research (MAR) initiatives and portfolio narrativesEnsure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across study documentation, tracking systems, and internal reporting toolsFacilitate communication across study teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and expectationsSupport process improvement initiatives that enhance portfolio management, reporting efficiency, and study oversight capabilitiesMaintain awareness of portfolio priorities and proactively identify opportunities to improve visibility, efficiency, and executionSkillsBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Clinical Research, Healthcare, or a related fieldExperience supporting clinical research operations, Medical Affairs research, scientific programs, study management, or project management activitiesStrong experience managing multiple projects, timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities simultaneouslyExperience maintaining study trackers, dashboards, reporting tools, or portfolio management systemsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-throughDemonstrated ability to identify risks, gaps, and delays proactively while driving resolution activitiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teamsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other reporting or document management toolsAbility to synthesize complex information into concise reports, summaries, and executive-level presentationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization capabilitiesAdvanced degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Clinical Research, Epidemiology, or a related disciplineExperience supporting Medical Affairs research programsExperience with locally sponsored studies, investigator-sponsored studies, or research grant-funded studiesFamiliarity with governance processes, protocol review boards, or scientific review committeesExperience supporting publication planning, tracking, and forecasting activitiesHIV therapeutic area experience strongly preferredExperience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or sponsor-dedicated environmentsExperience creating portfolio dashboards, operational metrics, and executive-level reporting materialsBenefitsA company car or car allowanceHealth benefits to include Medical, Dental and VisionCompany match 401kEligibility to participate in Employee Stock Purchase PlanEligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and individual performanceFlexible paid time off (PTO) and sick timeBecause certain states and municipalities have regulated paid sick time requirements, eligibility for paid sick time may vary depending on where you work.Syneos complies with all applicable federal, state, and municipal paid sick time requirements.Company OverviewSyneos Health, the only fully integrated end-to-end clinical and commercial solution organization.
