The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a global sports and media organization seeking a Project Employee for their Social & Digital Content team. This role involves creating, distributing, and publishing content across the NBA's social platforms, with a focus on engaging fans and optimizing content performance.ResponsibilitiesPublish content to the NBA’s Instagram pages by uploading video or still imagery with copy, tags and additional publishing details (such as location, shopping features, paid partnership information, Collabs, etc.) during real-time game coverage and for additional content franchises. This may include publishing realtime content and scheduling contentAssist with content planning for Reels, Carousels, Stories, Broadcast Channels and moreReview content metrics and implement platform feedback to optimize content performanceMonitor NBA team and player Instagram pages for amplification on the NBA’s Instagram pagesMonitor trends on the platformAbility to assist with similar publishing responsibilities on additional Meta platforms (Facebook, Threads, etc.) or other NBA social platforms when neededSkillsKnowledge of Instagram at an expert level (including platform trends, how to publish, how to review metrics, etc.) and understands the way fans consume NBA content on the platformAdditionally, has an understanding of how to use other Meta platforms and tools (Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp, Meta Quest, etc.)Must have experience publishing to Instagram or similar social content platform for a sports brand or media organizationKnowledge of the NBA at an expert level with a strong understanding of the storylines surrounding its players, coaches, teams, statistics, standings, history of the league and the league's calendar of eventsWatches and consumes NBA basketball content on a daily and nightly basisStrong editorial background in basketball, basketball culture and other extensions of the gameGood understanding of the NBA's social voiceAbility to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach, as well as perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasksAbility to execute detailed feedbackStrong communication, organization and project management skillsMust be a team player who can work collaborativelyWillingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include working days, nights, weekends and holidays based on the NBA calendarBachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferredBenefitsMedicalShort-term disabilityMental health coaching/therapySick timeCompany OverviewThe National Basketball Association (NBA) is a global sports and media organization with the mission to inspire and connect people everywhere through the power of basketball.
