The Project Consultant plays a central role in managing discrete scopes of work, producing high-quality deliverables, and maintaining client communication to ensure project success.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary owner of assigned project elements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client objectivesDevelop client-ready reports, memos, and presentations that synthesize research, analysis, and strategic recommendationsCoordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear documentation, decision tracking, and follow-up on action itemsMaintain consistent and professional client communication, anticipating needs and resolving project challengesSupport the design, management, and delivery of complex project scopes, collaborating with Project Leads and senior team membersContribute to the development of proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for new or follow-on engagementsMentor and provide feedback to Project Analysts and Associate Project Consultants to enhance project performance and team learningCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Project Leadership, Business Operations, and Market Strategy to ensure cohesive project deliveryIdentify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous enhancement of Project Operations tools and systemsPerform other related duties as assignedSkillsStrong consulting and project management capabilities with the ability to balance multiple prioritiesExceptional writing, editing, and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience producing high-quality client deliverablesStrong interpersonal communication skills, including facilitation and client relationship managementAbility to think strategically and connect project-level insights to broader client and market contextsProactive, organized, and self-directed with the ability to independently manage complex assignmentsCollaborative mindset and willingness to engage across teams and departmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and CRM or collaboration platforms (e.g., HubSpot)Ability to mentor others and support a positive, inclusive team culture4–6 years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, or public-sector program deliveryDemonstrated ability to independently manage scopes of work and maintain effective client relationshipsProven success in producing and delivering high-quality written deliverables for external clientsExperience with public funding and grant writingBenefitsCompetitive base salary.Annual target bonuses.100% employer paid health premium options available for all full-time staff.Simple IRA with matching contributions.Paid-time-off (PTO) of 120 hours/year.Paid sick leave of 56 hours per year.12 company holidays.Employer paid life insurance policy.$50 Cell phone stipend.$2,000 annual professional development stipend.Company OverviewMomentum partners with visionaries, innovators and forward-looking organizations working to turn great ideas into transformational products that drive economic prosperity and enable thriving, vibrant and healthy communities.
