The Program Advocacy Manager will oversee Social Security Eligibility and Trust Accounting staff, ensuring compliance with laws and policies while driving continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.ResponsibilitiesManage Social Security Eligibility and Trust Accounting staff, including direct supervision of individuals and overall leadership of team activities and outcomesDirect supervision of team members including weekly check-ins, providing direction and feedback, and performance managementEnsure team’s compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policiesMonitor performance measurements for team activities to help ensure that team meets all contractual responsibilitiesUse critical thinking and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to respond to DCF and PCG management requestsProactively pursue continuous improvement to increase compliance, value, accuracy, and efficiency of the team’s workMaintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for team functionsDevelop and maintain a robust quality assurance process for all activities, data and reports developed for DCF and for PCG managementLead client meetings and trainings in a variety of settingsMaintain positive working relationship with clients, federal partners, colleagues, and team membersCollaborate with PCG staff on other teams, fostering an environment of information sharing and mutual support across teamsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws and policiesLead/participate in state and federal audits and reviewsSkillsBachelor's degree or higher, preferably in accounting or business5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably including supervision of staffAbility to prioritize responsibilities for self and others and to delegate tasksAbility to organize and plan work efficiently within set time limits for self and othersAdvanced understanding of and ability to interpret relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and policiesStrong verbal and written communication skills in formal and informal settings, including customer serviceCritical thinking for the sake of problem solving and identifying process improvementsDetail-orientationAbility to work independently and within a teamDemonstrates initiativeComfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and OutlookSkill with Microsoft Power Automate and/or strong proficiency with Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with relevant federal programs, including Title XVI (SSI), Title II (RSDI), and Title IV-D (Child Support)BenefitsMedical and dental care benefits401kPTOParental leaveBereavement leaveCompany OverviewPublic Consulting Group is a consulting company offering management consulting services to public sector organizations and entities.
