MeridianLink is seeking a strategic, technically fluent Product Manager to join their Mortgage product team, which focuses on their mortgage lending origination platform. The role involves owning a defined area of the mortgage lending experience and collaborating with various teams to deliver impactful improvements for financial institutions and borrowers.ResponsibilitiesOwn the roadmap for your product area within MeridianLink Mortgage, from discovery through delivery and iterationLead continuous discovery through customer interviews, usage analytics, and collaboration with financial institution partners to identify high-value problems worth solvingWrite crisp, well-reasoned PRDs and user stories that give engineering teams the clarity they need to build with confidenceDrive agile delivery ceremonies and maintain a healthy, well-prioritized backlog aligned to team OKRsDefine and monitor product KPIs for your area, using data to inform prioritization and demonstrate business impactWork closely with fellow PMs on the Mortgage team to ensure coherence across product areas and alignment on platform-level decisionsPartner with Engineering, UX, Sales, Customer Success, and Compliance to drive alignment and unblock deliveryServe as the product expert for your domain — representing customer needs internally and translating them into clear requirementsContribute to team-level strategy discussions and help shape the broader Mortgage product roadmap over timeIdentify opportunities to incorporate modern capabilities — such as AI/ML-assisted decisioning, intelligent automation, and API extensibility — into your product areaStay current on mortgage lending trends, fintech competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments (CFPB, TILA, ECOA, fair lending) relevant to your domainChampion thoughtful UX and API-first design patterns that keep MeridianLink Mortgage competitive with emerging fintech challengersSkillsBachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant product management experienceProven track record of owning a product area end-to-end — discovery, definition, delivery, and iterationExperience managing API-integrated software products with multiple stakeholder groupsStrong command of agile methodologies and modern product discovery practices (Jobs-to-Be-Done, continuous discovery, etc.)Analytical mindset — comfortable using data and product analytics tools to drive decisions and measure outcomesExceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and align diverse stakeholdersDeep customer empathy — you've invested real time understanding users and translated those insights into shipped improvementsDomain experience in mortgage lending, loan origination systems (LOS), or financial institution softwareFamiliarity with API/integration products — you understand developer needs and how platform extensibility creates valueExposure to AI/ML in product contexts — you've thought carefully about where intelligent automation adds genuine value vs. hypeExperience working with or selling to banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutionsWorking knowledge of consumer lending regulations (TILA, ECOA, fair lending, CFPB guidance)Company OverviewMeridianLink is a digital lending platform that helps financial institutions through a configurable platform.
