This role will own the strategy and execution for the physical layer of their platform, focusing on first-party devices, certified hardware, and the OS + peripheral ecosystem that powers them.ResponsibilitiesOwn hardware platform strategyDefine and execute Qu’s hybrid hardware approach (first-party + certified ecosystem)Drive roadmap across POS terminals, handhelds, kiosks, and peripheralsBridge hardware, OS, and softwareLead cross-platform strategy across Windows (x86) and AndroidDefine migration and compatibility approach from legacy systems to modern architecturesPartner with engineering on device abstraction and platform consistencyOwn peripherals & device ecosystemDefine strategy for connectivity (USB, Bluetooth, network) and device communicationDrive peripheral support (printers, payments, scanners, etc.) and driver reliabilityEnsure consistent performance across diverse hardware environmentsBuild certification & partner ecosystemEstablish and scale hardware certification programsPartner with OEMs, device manufacturers, and payment providersEnable customers to extend lifecycle of existing hardware investmentsDeliver end-to-end executionOwn product lifecycle from concept → launch → scaleAlign hardware roadmap with platform and GTM strategyDrive tradeoffs across cost, performance, durability, and deployment speedSkills5+ years of product management experience with hardware, device platforms, or embedded systemsStrong understanding of Windows (x86) and Android architecturesExperience with peripherals, connectivity, and driver ecosystemsTrack record working with hardware vendors, OEMs, or certification programsAbility to operate across hardware, software, and platform layersExperience in restaurant tech, payments or point of saleCompany OverviewThe restaurant industry’s leading digital-first POS platform, designed from the cloud down.
