[Remote] Principal Software Engineer

They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support data pipeline development, systems integration, and SDK engineering, focusing on delivering impactful solutions in classified environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain data pipeline components supporting ingestion, transformation, and delivery of structured dataContribute to SDK development across multiple programming languages to support data emission and consumption by downstream toolsImplement and validate data format conversions and schema compliance across pipeline stagesTroubleshoot integration issues across distributed system boundaries including format, schema, and transport-layer problemsCollaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure pipeline designs meet enterprise and security standardsContribute to technical documentation and architecture artifactsMentor junior engineers and participate in code reviewsDeliver within an Agile/Scrum framework including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical reviewsSkillsActive SECRET security clearance required prior to startAbility to work in classified environments and comply with all applicable security protocolsProficiency in two or more of the following: Python, Java, Go, CExperience designing and implementing data pipelines including transformation, validation, and routing stagesFamiliarity with data serialization formats such as Avro, Protobuf, JSON, or XMLExperience integrating with enterprise services via REST APIs or message-based transport systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and version control in a DevSecOps environmentExperience with containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker7+ years of professional software engineering experienceDemonstrated ability to deliver production pipeline or integration componentsExperience with Apache NiFi or similar data flow toolingFamiliarity with message broker or streaming transport technologiesExperience contributing to multi-language SDK or library developmentPrior experience supporting USAF programsExperience in cross-functional Agile teams as a senior individual contributorCompany OverviewWe focus on the future: identifying and delivering solutions that transform the process and practice of teaching in a global society.
