[Remote] Principal Product Designer (Container Platform)

They are seeking a Principal Product Designer to shape design and engineering decisions for their container platform, focusing on human-centered design and improving developer experiences.ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end design for the container platformDistill complex developer workflows into elegant, opinionated solutionsCollaborate and iterate with a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and engineersUse AI tools actively throughout the design process for prototyping, synthesis, and iterationWork across stakeholders to build consensus on a shared product visionConstructively challenge existing approaches and push for better solutionsMentor and coach members of the product design teamPartner with senior leadership to design strategySkillsProven track record influencing product direction and strategy with actionable, research-informed designDeep experience designing for developer tools, platforms, or infrastructure productsSolid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods with an ability to synthesize and communicate quicklyFluency with prototyping, quick visualizations, and iterative developmentDemonstrated ability to learn new technology domains and develop strong opinions about themExcellent project management, communication, and presentation skillsExperience leading, coaching, or mentoring product designers. We currently have a number of staff designers and senior designers and this role is expected to help level up the team as a whole.
