This role is crucial for managing enterprise solutions in both public and private clouds, automating system deployment, and mentoring engineering teams to enhance infrastructure resiliency.ResponsibilitiesWorks vertically and horizontally across the Infrastructure and Operations portfolio supporting private/public cloud systems, operating systems, middleware, storage, database platforms, and other key infrastructure productsAssists department leadership by providing informal coaching and direction to I&O Engineering teamSubject matter expert for advanced analysis and resolution of the most complex issuesDevelops repeatable automation to deliver capabilities more efficientlyDevises solutions to problems impacting mission critical systems and implements automation to prevent reoccurrenceSupports and implements private cloud Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) technologiesPlays a senior role within a Center of Excellence for cloud usage and cloud development standardsMaintains an accurate picture of existing server, storage, networking, software and hardware and virtual environments to support scaling against various project requirementsEnsures all usage of cloud environments meet governance standards and contributes to improving standards for security and operational efficiencyCreates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Healthfirst operations teams to support the operations of the productsActs as a senior escalation point for operations and delivery teams for incident and ticket resolution and participates in an on-call rotationServes as a technical leader within Infrastructure & Operations as well as with Development teams in areas of Cloud technology and automationOther duties as assigned or requiredSkillsTechnical degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution with equivalent work experienceExperience in designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix-based and Windows systemsExtensive cloud experience within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etcI&O Engineering work experience including oversight of public and private cloud technologiesProven and demonstratable experience with automation scripting tools including BASH, Python and/or PowerShellExtensive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with automation and open-source toolsProven work experience in identifying repeatable processes and partnering with teams to push innovation and automationAdvanced degree in Computer Science or Technical fieldAWS Certified Solutions ArchitectGCP/Nutanix CertificationExperience in a Cloud Center of Excellence and driving business innovationExperience implementing cloud services with an Infrastructure as code methodology using cloud formation, Ansible, or TerraformExperience supporting Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD integrationExperience supporting and integrating database services both on-premise, and leveraging cloud hosted technologiesExpert understanding of cloud security best practices and implementing a least privileged model of access in AWSDeep troubleshooting skills that involve analysis of logs, network traces, configuration data, automation tools to resolve issues until end-to-end systems are functioningExperience with Kubernetes, deploying, and supporting containerized applicationsExperience working with development teams as a cloud engineering subject matter expert to create cloud-native applicationsExperience with system health monitoring and optimizing performance following Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles with leading industry toolsExperience working in regulated and/or high-security environments and industries (PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.)BenefitsMedical, dental and vision coverageIncentive and recognition programsLife insurance401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)Company OverviewHealthfirst is a health insurer providing medical, business, and health insurance services.
