[Remote] Principal Analyst - Senior Pricer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Maximus is currently seeking a Principal Analyst - Senior Pricer. The successful candidate will deliver and oversee pricing aspects of Federal proposal submissions in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and work closely with the Proposal Response Team.ResponsibilitiesPerform competitive cost analysis and price to win estimates for strategic and highly visible proposal effortsWork as an integral part of the capture and proposal team, assisting in the development of competitive pricing strategies, developing scoring sensitivity analyses, projecting competitive behaviors, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirementsAct as a member of the core capture team on high visibility opportunitiesCoordinate the collection and dissection of competitive proposal data gathered from internal and external sources and databases including Gov Win, Dun & Bradstreet, and the internal FOIA processInterface with sales, business development and capture management regarding competitive positioning and analyses, including the reconciliation of price to win projections to the proposed cost and price modelMay participate in the negotiation of contract awards if neededProvide guidance and work leadership to members of the proposal and capture teams to be used for proposal strategy developmentMaintain current knowledge of the competitive landscape and maintain and update data repositories with the results of proposed procurementsParticipate in strategy meetings, status meetings and senior management reviews including the presentation of competitive analyses and recommendationsRead RFPs, prepare clarifying questions related to pricingAccept pricing inputs from various divisions (operations, HR, facilities, telecom, technology, etc.) and independently validate the soundness of the received inputsCompile consolidated price based on received inputsPerform cost analysis and cost estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirementsIdentify key financial risks related to the proposed solution and run what-if analyses to quantify risks and recommend mitigation strategiesWork with the Price-To-Win team to come up with realistic, compliant and winning pricesLead Pricing Strategy discussions and demonstrate Thought LeadershipFinalize accounting treatment for revenue and costs to provide estimates of free cash flow, operating income, and net present valuePresent the key pricing highlights, risks, and mitigation to the executive team consisting of CEO, CFO and Group PresidentsPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipAssemble all inputs required for a standard Federal Price/Business Volume including standard Business and Compliance recitations, input from Contracts concerning RFP-required documentation, Estimating Assumptions, and Bases of Estimates as required by the RFPPotential opportunity to manage and supervise staff including mentoring, training, and overseeing the professional development of staffSkillsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Accounting or Financial Management or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience10+ years of Price to Win experience, Pricing, or financial proposal experience in State and Local Health and Human Services competitive procurementsSolid understanding of the State and Local government competitive pricing market and procurement tendenciesStrong communication and inter-personal skills and ability work to with and present recommendations to senior and executive managementKnowledge and understanding of statistical methods for forecasting and projecting competitive behaviorProficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, or other related software programsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics or related field of study.
