[Remote] Prevailing Wage Analyst

The Prevailing Wage Analyst will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of payroll data for public works and government-funded projects, focusing on data analysis, certified payroll reporting, and compliance with prevailing wage laws.ResponsibilitiesReview payroll data for employees working on public projects to verify alignment with prevailing wage determinations, fringe benefits, and labor classificationsConduct routine internal audits to ensure compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, state prevailing wage requirements, and other applicable regulationsAssist in preparing certified payroll reports and validating entries for accuracy and completenessResearch wage determinations, apprenticeship standards, and applicable labor regulations to support compliance activitiesMaintain accurate records of wage determinations, certified payroll submissions, and compliance correspondenceAssist in preparing and submitting certified payroll reports to government agencies, project owners, and contractors as requiredSupport the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for wage compliance and payroll reporting processesUtilize payroll and compliance systems (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce, LCP Tracker, Elations) to monitor and reconcile payroll dataPerform data validation and exception analysis to identify and resolve discrepanciesCollaborate with Payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate employee data, pay rates, and classificationsPartner with internal departments including Payroll, HR, Legal, and Operations to ensure consistency in wage compliance practicesAssist in responding to audit requests, employee inquiries, or project manager questions related to prevailing wage documentationSupport the Prevailing Wage Supervisor in developing compliance training materials and communication initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls in wage compliance processesStay current on changes in federal and state prevailing wage regulations, ensuring company practices remain compliantPerform other duties as assigned to support Payroll and corporate objectivesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred2+ years of experience in payroll compliance, prevailing wage administration, or a related government contracting environmentKnowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting requirementsExperience with payroll and compliance systems (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce, LCP Tracker, Elations, DIR uploads, or similar platforms)Extensive knowledge of FLSA, federal, state, local wage and hour, and tax regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with reporting and audit functions preferredHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrityStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively assist employees with payroll-related inquiriesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approachBenefits10% Target BonusMedical, Dental and Vision plans with leading national providersHealth Savings Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Company Provided Basic Life and Accident Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)Critical illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident CoverageLegal Insurance PlanPaid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Company Holidays401(k) plan with generous company matchCompany OverviewFoundation Building Materials is a distributor of wallboard and suspended ceiling systems.
