They are seeking a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer to drive transformation across the US-West by designing and demonstrating secure networking architectures and collaborating with account managers and partners to meet customer security needs.ResponsibilitiesLead technical discovery sessions to understand customer business drivers, networking environments, and security requirementsDesign and articulate scalable Security architectures incorporating secure SD-WAN, SSE, identity-based access, and firewall technologiesDeliver high-impact product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts showcasing HPE Networking offerings, including SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and DEM use casesPosition and integrate solutions across the broader HPE Security and Networking portfolio, including Hybrid Mesh firewalls and data-center-to-cloud security designsSupport sales pursuits by responding to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with clear, technically accurate documentation and diagramsCollaborate closely with account managers, specialist peers, partners, and services teams to drive successful deal outcomesPresent confidently to both technical audiences and executive stakeholders, including security leaders and architectsProvide field feedback to product management and engineering teams to influence roadmap and solution enhancementsTravel across operation to support customer meetings, partner engagements, workshops, and industry events. The majority of this will be in the region, but broader travel will be required occasionallySkills5+ years of experience in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture roles within, security, networking, or cloud domainsHands-on experience with SASE, Zero Trust, Hybrid-Mesh Firewalls, and cloud-delivered security architecturesStrong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspectionSolid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP, and OSPFFamiliarity with identity and access concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and role-based access controlWorking knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud)Comfortable delivering live demos, whiteboarding architectures, and running customer POCsExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business valueSelf-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, team-oriented sales environmentExperience with HPE Security technologies (SDWAN, SSE, NAC) as well as exposure to HPE Juniper technologies, particularly SRX firewalls or related platformsCertifications such as CISSP, Security+, and/or relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience supporting a variety of customers in a presales capacityFamiliarity with compliance or security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or Zero Trust maturity modelsBenefitsCompetitive compensation, benefits, and flexible work arrangements.Ongoing technical enablement, training, and career development opportunities.A collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation, diversity of thought, and continuous learning.Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.Personal & Professional DevelopmentWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
