[Remote] Plan Consultant II

PCS Retirement is a consulting firm that provides plan document, compliance, consulting, and government reporting services to a diverse client base. The Plan Consultant II is responsible for conducting annual nondiscrimination testing and completing IRS Form 5500 for various retirement plans, while collaborating with advisors, auditors, and plan sponsors on plan issues and contributions.ResponsibilitiesPerforms Nondiscrimination, Top Heavy & Coverage Testing for defined contribution plansCalculates retirement plan contributions and allocations, including Safe Harbor allocations, discretionary match and profit sharingCalculates corrective actions for failures in annual testingConsult and explain the results of the testing and any required correctionsPreparation of IRS Form 5500-SF, 5500-EZ and assists with preparation of Form 5500 with schedulesAssist with plan audit support, including reconciliations and preparation of assets and other plan reportsAssist with accumulating data and reconciling assets for conversion plansExceed internal and compliance deadlinesOther duties as assignedSkills3-5 years of experience preferredAbility to read and understand complex documentation surrounding 401k plansKnowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to apply knowledge to complete asset reconciliations for all plansAbility to reconcile transactions/assets on the Trust StatementIntermediate skillset in Microsoft ExcelMust be moldable and willing to learn and grow in a dynamic work cultureSelf-Starter, highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and problem-solveAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressureAbility to meet seasonal deadlines based on IRS and Department of Labor regulationsStrong listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsStrong attention to detailPensionPro and FT Williams software experience preferredQKA Certification preferredBenefits401(k) matchMedicalDentalVisionLife insuranceShort and long term disabilityPaid-time offCompany OverviewProfessional Capital Services is an independent provider of retirement plan solutions.
