[Remote] Pension Actuary

The Pension Actuary role involves supporting actuarial analysis and financial modeling, developing reports, and managing client interactions while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Supports Actuarial Analysis and Financial Modeling
ā¢ Develops OPEB Reports
ā¢ Evaluate actuarial programs and makes recommendations for improvements
ā¢ Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation
ā¢ Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to clients
ā¢ Manages small projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations
ā¢ Facilitates client discussions
ā¢ Manages daily project functions and client interaction
ā¢ Support proposal writing teams for responses related to actuarial services
ā¢ Prepares other written reports and materials for clients
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor degree or ten years experience required, graduate degree preferred
ā¢ ASA or FSA credentials with OPEB and retiree experience
ā¢ Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience
ā¢ Strong quantitative skills and able to analyze and interpret financial data
ā¢ Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations
ā¢ Able to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results
ā¢ Able to work effectively with all members of project teams
ā¢ Outstanding oral and written presentation skills
ā¢ Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers
