[Remote] Payroll Administrator

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leader in the food processing and distribution industry, and they are seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage the company's time and attendance and HRIS/payroll systems. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll services, maintaining employee data, and conducting audits and reports.ResponsibilitiesEnters and maintains all employee data in UltiPro and Kronos, including but not limited to, new hire entry, terminations, and changes such as position, salary, address, supervisor, or location changesMonitors and prints completed MiSource forms from Payroll inboxHouses the Pay Cards and related processMonitors Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Personal Time (PPT) and Floating Holiday (FH) balances for all employees by running biweekly audit and balance reportsRetrieves all PPT for Salaried employees from MiSource and enters it on the payroll Exceptions SpreadsheetEnters Time Off Requests for Administrative and Hourly employees in KronosInteracts with various department supervisors or managers to obtain missing documentation/informationPrepares biweekly payroll files and sends to Post Payroll for processingRuns biweekly audits to ensure accurate entry in both Kronos and UltiProPrepares reports for supervisors and/or management as neededAssists with hosting/leading the monthly MFI Payroll conference callsAssists in development of overall payroll procedures by recommending improvements or changes when deemed necessary for greater efficiencyEnsures procedures (SOPs) are current for payroll related processesConducts Kronos and Ulti training for HR/Payroll employees. (may require travel)Conducts Kronos training for Supervisors/Managers at various locations. (may require travel)Monitors SOX regulated items (rate audits) for all MFI payrollsRuns Safety Hours report monthly if applicableMaintains payroll documents as per retention guidelinesCompletes employment verifications in line with MFI guidelinesCompletes Unemployment Claim paperworkAssumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasksAdheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained.
