Position Title: Remote Part-Time Temp Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating logistics operations. This position requires effective communication with buyers and installers to ensure timely deliveries and installations. The candidate will manage various logistics tasks, including tracking shipments and resolving issues, while working with high-value clients in a dynamic environment. Flexibility in hours is essential, as the workload may vary from week to week. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing startup focused on high-end art logistics.
Salary Range: $35 - $40 / Hourly DOE
Logistics Manager Responsibilities:
• Track shipments and provide delivery updates to buyers
• Communicate with buyers during delivery and installation
• Schedule and manage installers across various locations
• Maintain and update installer contact and availability records
• Utilize templates for clear customer communications
• Resolve delivery and installation issues promptly
• Share feedback and improvements with the operations team
• Coordinate shipments from China to the US and Canada
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts
• Work with vendors, carriers, and warehouses to ensure smooth operations
Logistics Manager Requirements:
• 1-2+ years of logistics or operations experience
• High school diploma
• Proficiency in Word and Outlook
• Experience in retail, art, or furniture industries is preferred
