Position Summary GLS is seeking professional Remote Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) who are fluent in two or more languages (including English) to provide real-time telephonic interpretation services for clients across various industries. This role supports limited-English proficient individuals and ensures accurate and culturally competent communication. Key Responsibilities • Provide consecutive interpretation services over the phone between English and target language(s). • Maintain accuracy, clarity, and impartiality during interpretation sessions. • Handle calls related to medical, legal, social services, education, customer service, and government inquiries. • Follow GLS protocols for confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism. • Log interpreting assignments and time accurately using GLS scheduling and reporting systems. • Participate in ongoing training to meet quality and industry standards. Required Qualifications • Fluency in English and at least one other language. • Minimum of 1 year of professional interpreting experience (preferred). • Strong understanding of interpreting ethics, standards of practice, and confidentiality. • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills. • Reliable internet connection, headset, and a quiet, distraction-free work environment. • Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the U.S. Global Impact Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
