They are seeking an OEM Sales Manager to develop prospect knowledge, secure appointments, and collaborate with technical partners while also managing negotiations and marketing strategies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop thorough prospect knowledge and secure appointments via cold calls, networking, and our existing pipelineAttend trade shows and conventions to promote our technology and increase market awarenessCollaborate closely with technical partners and the engineering team to qualify potential leadsActively nurture the sales pipeline and prepare compelling sales presentations for engineering groups and potential clientsMaintain accurate prospect records using our customer relationship database (Copper) or other internal documentationSubmit weekly status reports detailing your sales activitiesPrepare detailed quotes and proposals, coordinate and maintain accurate cost sheets, and manage customer negotiations through sales closureVerify and approve new orders for accuracy and compliance with pricing and contractual termsMonitor competitive conditions, maintaining current knowledge of competitor pricing, services, and sales methodsFoster strong relationships with current and past customers by providing prompt responses and strategic recommendationsAdvise management on actionable marketing strategies based on analyzed marketplace dataPrepare annual marketing plans and comprehensive sales forecastsDevelop monthly action plans and report regularly on sales progressActively participate in website improvements, literature updates, and LinkedIn social media post creationSkillsA minimum of 7 years of experience in the Fine Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Capital Equipment Purchasing and/or Marketing/SalesBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldAbility to travel 60%–70%, both domestically and internationallyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside proficiency in MS Office productsProof of eligibility to work in the United States is requiredAn MBA is considered a strong plusCompany OverviewPivotal Solutions serves CIOs, CTOs, HR Directors and CFOs in a broad cross section of industries.
