[Remote] Northeast Regional Sales Manager

The Northeast Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales of AWG wire and cable products, developing markets, maintaining relationships with clients, and tracking new sales opportunities within the electrical utility market in the Northeast United States.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and close sales opportunities through network of Manufacturers RepsProvide access to key decision makers at customersProvide details and participate on key projects bid processTrack to participate in Utility Master Material Agreement RFQ events (Blankets)Maintain relationships with key customers and utilize CRM within AWG systemTravel for customer meetings throughout the regionFacilitate meetings with customer and AWG managementConduct sales and training presentations to customersProvide Technical information to customers for AWG vendor approvalWhen necessary, attend Prebid meetings, visit job sites and customer test centersInitiate Non-Conformance process to investigate product complaints and forward answer/results/solution back to the customerGeneral knowledge of construction methods relating to wire and cableUnderstand Contract languageGood understanding to provide market intelligence on competition, regional pricing, and margin levels for successful quotation submittalsParticipate in development of Utility Sales Plan for the annual Sales meetingResponsible management of expensesMaintain awareness of AWG goalsSuccessful completion of on-the-job training to use AWG’s Microsoft D365 business application to generate customer quotes and sales ordersProficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) as required to prepare reports and presentationsSkillsMust live in Northeastern RegionEngineering Degree or Equivalent Experience3 + years-combined sales, business development, marketing experience in cable industry or electrical engineering a definite assetSelling to electrical utilities a definite assetAble to work independently and a team player with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong PC skills, and proficiency in MS Office applicationsGood ListenerSelf-StarterProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift to 25 pounds at a timeTravel within assigned territory approximately 50% of the timeBenefitsEligible for 401K participation after 1 yearHealth Care for EmployeeBonus as accomplishment of corporate and team goals set by management.401(k) (matched)Health, dental, vision, life insurance, pre- and post-tax savings options, and paid time offCompany OverviewAmerican Wire Group specializes in cable for renewable energy and electric utilities.
