[Remote] New Engine Sales Manager

The New Engine Sales Manager will manage all aspects of industrial engine sales, focusing on promoting and selling DEUTZ Diesel engines while maintaining regulatory and technical information for distribution dealers.ResponsibilitiesPromote, sell, and manage New and Remanufactured DEUTZ Diesel engines product line for assigned territory working primarily with OEMsOversee all aspects of direct engine O.E.M. dealer and end-user salesGenerate new business through networking and cold-calling effortsMaintain regulatory and technical information for distribution to O.E.M. and dealersProvides market information to DEUTZ CorporationPerform quotes, weekly/monthly activity reports, follow-up reports, and documentation required to monitor sales activities effectivelyIdentify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships to generate future sales and repeat businessEffectively communicate territory goals, growth goals, and target accounts to the executive team and co-workersNegotiate purchasing terms, contracts, and vendor sales agreementsAssess and document customer feedback for quality assurance and risk management purposesConfer with marketing and sales divisions to establish pricing schedulesAdvise end-users and dealers on policies and operating proceduresPerform product demonstrationsPromote product lines by attending industry events and expositionsPerform other duties as assignedSkillsMust be able to promote and sell to OEMs, Dealer Networks, and end-usersExperienced in customer/ market requirements3 plus years' experience working with distributors in the engine or related businessComputer-oriented and experienced with Microsoft computer software programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)Knowledge of the off-highway engine market and its applicationsMust be able to travel to territory sites as requiredStrong customer service & team-building skills with the ability to work well with customers and in-house sales and applications engineersExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple departments and personalitiesStrong results-driven attitude with the ability to finish tasks effectivelyStrong influential skills with the ability to influence and communicate at all levelsStrong innovative and desire to-learn attitude with the ability to increase your knowledge about DEUTZ business, products, markets, and customersSelf-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with a maximum degree of quality and without supervisionStrong time management skills with the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and remain calm under pressureA college degree in a related field or equivalent experience is necessaryCompany OverviewFor more than 160 years, DEUTZ engines have supplied customized, cost-effective power to a broad array of machine types and market segments.
