[Remote] Network Specialist- Finance

They are seeking a Network Specialist - Finance to provide project support for outside plant functions, manage the invoice process, and work closely with engineering and finance personnel to ensure project completion on time and within budget.ResponsibilitiesProvide outside plant project support for a geographic area, along with analytical preparation of records, statistics and reports relating to Outside Plant (OSP) functionsSupport for Outside Plant Engineering (OSPE) and/or Construction (OSPC) to ensure that outside plant projects are completed on time, in scope and on budgetManage the invoice process including Purchase Orders, tracking work performed, as well as reviewing and processing of invoices from external vendorsWork closely with engineering, construction and finance personnel collecting and verifying data required to complete outside plant engineering and construction tasksUnderstand and follow established processes, and complete assigned work in accordance with established quality measures to Plan, Engineer, Implement, Optimize or Operate TDS’s combined Voice/Video/Data network infrastructureMake use of quality improvement techniques, and participate in process improvement and management activitiesGrow technical skills as they pertain to TDS's network infrastructure through a variety of mechanism including self-training, formal classes and coachingUtilize vendor contact in accordance with TDS contractual obligations. Understand and initiate appropriate level of vendor useSkillsAssociates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience2+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networkingRequires software knowledge and skills in business and office applications, such as spreadsheets, database applications, word documents, etcAble to participate in a small group to work specific network issuesThe ability to manage changing priorities and the ability to handle several simple network tasks concurrently with assistance required to help set prioritiesScope of responsibility limited to assignments from managerAble to work with diverse individuals/teams/customersAble to interact and work with others as part of a team. Understands the role s/he plays on the team, and how his/her work supports the team's goalsAble to take the lead to get well understood issues resolved.
