Blue Mantis is seeking a Network Security Engineer to provide technical support in the design and deployment of Network Transformation and Network Operations. The role involves assessing and deploying technology solutions to meet customers' business and security needs while collaborating with the Senior Network Engineer.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in daily network, firewall, and operational supportAbility to troubleshoot network issues and failures and follow best practices and troubleshooting methodology to quickly assess current situations, find solutions, and implement changes to correct and/or update network topologies to ensure stability and functionalityProvide technical analysis of operational issues and remediations during troubleshooting efforts to ensure documentations and procedures are followed and updated during active events. This includes the ability to report to managementStay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriateWork with various stake holders to lead problem solving, evolve system roadmap and take critical decisionsProvide clear communication with regular updates/reports to the management teamSkillsMinimum of 5 years' experience in deployment and configuration and architectural design of networking technologies specific to routing, switching and general network security best practices, in which 3 years must be in customer-facing positionsMinimum of CCNA or comparable level of knowledgeAbility to work on call rotation as neededB.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical trainingFortinet NSE 6 and NSE 7Knowledge of Azure and AWSExperience with Aruba ClearPass, Aruba switches and wirelessExperience with Cisco Firepower Services and Palo Alto security servicesUnderstanding of encryption and SSL/TLS technologies and best practicesExperience working for or with local government, service providers, and/or enterprises customersExperience in large Data Center or Enterprise/campus designs, architecture, deployment and configuration with physical and virtual appliances.
