[Remote] Mid-Level Full Stack Data Engineer

They are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Data Engineer responsible for building and supporting data-driven features, focusing on data ingestion, transformation, and visualization within modern architectures.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelinesImplement backend logic to process, validate, and analyze structured and semi-structured dataContribute to RESTful API development and service-layer integrationsSupport integration of processed data into thick client desktop applications (e.g., Electron-based platforms)Assist in database schema design, data modeling, and query optimizationDevelop UI-integrated data features such as dashboards, validation results, and analytics viewsWrite unit and integration tests to validate data processing logicParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demosCollaborate with senior engineers and architects to implement scalable and maintainable data solutionsSkillsExperience with at least one backend language such as: Python, Java, C#, Node.jsExperience working with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, or schema-driven modelsWorking knowledge of relational databases and data modeling conceptsExperience building or integrating RESTful APIsFamiliarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologiesExperience contributing to desktop or thick client applications, preferably using Electron or comparable frameworksExperience working in Agile development environmentsTypically has a Bachelor's or masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and 3+ years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience; e.g., each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required3–6 years of professional software engineering experienceExperience developing or optimizing Electron-based applicationsExposure to data validation, schema enforcement, or metadata-driven systemsExperience building data visualization components or analytics dashboardsFamiliarity with containerized development environments using DockerExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practicesExperience operating in regulated, security-conscious, or air-gapped environmentsCompany OverviewAgile Defense is an information technology company located in Reston.
