[Remote] Member Financial Specialist

As a Member Financial Specialist, you will work directly with members to address their financial questions and needs, ensuring they understand their benefits and payment options while navigating complex insurance issues.ResponsibilitiesWork 1:1 with members prior to member registration and during ongoing treatment to address questions on eligibility, benefits, payment, and moreEducate members about benefits, member responsibility, payment options and financial assistanceComplete ongoing eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and solve complex insurance issues on behalf of our members, working directly with the payer where neededCommunicate with our members over video and insurance companies on the phone where necessaryReview and process prior authorization and other formsSkillsAt least two years of experience with direct member-facing experience in patient access, financial counseling, and/or utilization management; SUD/Behavioral Health setting strongly preferredExperience speaking with SUD/Behavioral Health patients to interpret their coverage, benefits, patient responsibility, and moreExperience working with members via telehealthExperience speaking directly with payers and navigating payer organizations to solve problemsExperience and working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans with behavioral health/SUD coverage and benefitsExperience creating and explaining payment plans to SUD/Behavioral Health membersSkill in responding quickly to member needsSkill in quickly learning about new insurance plansSkill in operating effectively in a remote environmentSkill in operating electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks experience preferred)Skill in operating other needed technology - including video-conferencing, ticketing systems, and moreDeeply invested in patient successBachelor's degree preferredExperience with state Medicaid portals, (Availity and Zendesk preferred)Experience in a high-growth environment strongly preferredCompany OverviewGroups Recover Together provides accessible and affordable medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid addiction.
