They are seeking a Medical Director for Oncology to serve as a strategic clinical leader, advance clinical programs, and support frontline care teams. The role involves leading the ePRO program, collaborating with care teams, and contributing to strategic initiatives across the organization.ResponsibilitiesJoin Our Team as a Medical Director for OncologyYou will own and drive the evolution of our electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) program, ensuring we deliver measurable outcomes for our membersThis means setting the clinical vision for how we collect, interpret, and act on patient-reported data, and working alongside cross-functional teams to bring that vision to lifeYou will guide program design and iteration, establish and refine clinical thresholds and escalation pathways, enable staff training, and track key performance indicatorsYou will work closely with our technology and product teams to ensure our ePRO tools reflect current clinical evidence and meet the needs of our member populationYour leadership will ensure that ePROs are a meaningful and scalable part of how we support members throughout their cancer journeyYou will serve as a clinical resource for our frontline care team, providing education, guidance, and direct collaboration to support quality careThis includes participating in case conferences, offering oncology expertise for complex or escalated clinical situations, and partnering with our Oncology Nurse Navigators and Community Health Workers on challenging casesYou will contribute to care team education through structured training sessions, clinical updates, and ongoing feedbackYou will help our team stay current on evolving oncology standards and ensure clinical practices across the organization are grounded in evidence and aligned with member needsYou will also have the opportunity to do virtual visits with our membersIn close partnership with cross-functional partners, you will lead and contribute to strategic initiatives across the organizationThis includes developing and maintaining clinical protocols, helping members access clinical trials, and representing Thyme Care in external meetings with payers, health systems, and other partnersYou will serve as a clinical voice on oncology issues, contributing to how Thyme Care is positioned in the broader oncology landscapeYou will also support the development of clinical content, policy positions, and responses to external clinical questions as they ariseSkillsAt least 3 years of clinical experience caring for oncology patients after fellowship training with board certification in medical oncologyAn unrestricted medical license and a willingness to obtain additional state licenses as neededExperience with electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) implementation, iteration, and reportingSkilled in juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure without sacrificing organization in communications and documentationDecisive and articulate, with effective listening skills and the ability to build rapport and excellent working relationships with members and colleaguesComfort with ambiguity in fast-paced environmentsA desire to learn how to use new technologies, including experience with video chatting, Google Suite, Slack, electronic health records, or comfort in using and learning new technologyAbility to identify priorities and take action to address urgent needsBenefitsEquityBenefitsOther opportunities at Thyme CareCompany OverviewThyme Care is a healthcare company that provides oncology care management services.
