Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Remote Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This remote position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and possesses a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols. You will play a vital role in enhancing patient experience and supporting the day-to-day operations of a virtual healthcare practice. Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with chronic conditions, developing personalized care plans tailored to individual needs. • Utilize telehealth technologies to monitor patient progress, provide education and encourage adherence to treatment plans. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care delivery. • Identify barriers to care and work proactively with patients to overcome challenges that may affect their health outcomes. • Document all interactions and updates in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and promptly. • Engage in regular follow-ups with patients via phone calls or video consultations to assess their progress and adjust care plans as needed. • Provide support and resources for patients’ caregivers to enhance the overall management of chronic illnesses. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field preferred). • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred). • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare-related role. • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telemedicine software. • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients remotely. • Prior Experience in Chronic Care Management or Remote Patient Monitoring (preferred) Benefits: • Competitive salary based on experience. • Health benefits (medical, dental). • Paid time off and sick leave. • Continuing education support and certification reimbursement.
