[Remote] Mechanical / BIM Designer

The company is seeking a Mechanical / BIM Designer to produce mechanical drawings for modular infrastructure and data center projects, focusing on drafting, model production, and drawing package development.ResponsibilitiesCreate, update, and maintain 2D and 3D mechanical drawings in AutoCAD and RevitTranslate sketches, redlines, engineering markups, and design input into clear drawing deliverablesDevelop plans, elevations, sections, details, equipment layouts, and mechanical coordination viewsDraft mechanical systems including piping layouts, equipment arrangements, supports, and routing conceptsSupport BIM model updates and coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplinesMaintain drawing quality, standards, layering, annotation, title blocks, revision history, and sheet organizationRevise drawings based on project reviews, vendor updates, and internal design changesOrganize project files, model content, drawing sets, and standards in a repeatable and disciplined wayHelp maintain drafting libraries, standard details, templates, and Revit families/AutoCAD blocksCoordinate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings reflect current design intentSkills3–5+ years of experience in mechanical drafting, design support, or BIM modelingStrong proficiency in AutoCADWorking knowledge of Revit for drafting and model-based productionSolid understanding of drafting principles, sheet setup, dimensions, annotations, detailing, and drawing standardsAbility to read and interpret engineering markups and convert them into accurate drawing packagesStrong attention to detail with good document control and file organization habitsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving design inputsAble to take direction, execute consistently, and ask smart questions when design intent is unclearGood communication skills and a strong production mindsetExperience supporting MEP, mechanical, industrial, prefab, modular, or data center projectsExposure to mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, hydronics, liquid cooling, or equipment layoutFamiliarity with BIM coordination and interdisciplinary model collaborationExperience producing drawing packages for fabrication, installation, or constructionUnderstanding of clash coordination, model cleanup, and drawing issue workflowsBenefitsEquitySubsidized benefitsCompetitive base salary and equityMedical, dental, and vision (subsidized cost)Health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and dependent care FSAs (DCFSA)Retirement plan options, including 401(k) and Roth 401(k)Unlimited paid time off (PTO)14 paid company holidays per yearCompany OverviewArmada develops computing infrastructure that supports AI processing, connectivity, and data management in remote environments.
