Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Airswift is looking for a Master Data Analyst to work remotely with one of their clients in Houston, TX. The Master Data Analyst (SAP) will support critical master data activities for Material Master, BOMs, Routings and Production Versions in SAP, focusing on data accuracy and availability to avoid supply and distribution disruptions.ResponsibilitiesSAP Master Data MaintenanceCreate and maintain material master records (T-codes: MM01/MM02), including relevant views (MM, WM/EWM, MRP, costing, etc.)Create and maintain Bills of Material (CS01/CS02), Routings (CA01/CA02), and Production Versions (C223)Ensure all required views and mandatory fields are complete and consistent for new and existing SKUsProduct Hierarchy & Classification CleanupClean up product hierarchy, material classifications and characteristics in SAP in coordination with designated subject matter expertsPrepare and align master data to support the Kinaxis Fittings project and related planning activitiesStandardize naming, units of measure, and characteristics values where neededSKU Correction & Lifecycle ManagementExecute SKU correction tasks, including:Creating new β€œcorrect” SKUs when required (e.g., for incorrect setup or structural changes)Updating and maintaining cross-reference lists (xref) between old and new SKUsCoordinating with stakeholders to migrate demand/supply and usage to new SKUsObsoleting and blocking old SKUs once transition is complete in line with internal guidelinesMonitor and follow up with functional owners to ensure timely completion of required changesAd-hoc Master Data Change RequestsProcess ad-hoc master data change requests such as MRP parameters or EWM settingsValidate requests, obtain required approvals and ensure changes are accurately reflected in SAPSKU Extensions & Distribution SupportPerform SKU extensions to Distribution Centers / warehouses (e.g., for new warehouses or new stocking strategies)Validate that all required views and fields are maintained to prevent supply, planning, or distribution disruptionsData Quality & ReportingPerform regular data quality checks to identify:DuplicatesIncomplete or inconsistent recordsMisaligned product classifications or hierarchiesUse Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, etc.) to analyze data and prepare simple reports and dashboardsPropose and implement corrective actions in partnership with data ownersActivity Tracking & MetricsMaintain an activity log/metrics to track:Number of SKUs correctedNumber of SKU extensions completedNumber of master data changes processedData quality issues identified and resolvedProvide periodic status updates and summaries demonstrating progress and value over the 6-month periodSkills3+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP in a supply chain, planning, or operations environmentPractical experience maintaining SAP master data using T-codes: MM01/MM02 – Material Master, CS01/CS02 – Bills of Material, CA01/CA02 – Routings, C223 – Production VersionsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, Data filters, conditional formatting, and basic formulas for data validationDemonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail when working with large data setsAbility to follow defined processes and controls for master data, and to document work clearlyStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholdersCompany OverviewAirswift provides recruitment, employer of record and workforce solutions to STEM industries.
