This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies.ResponsibilitiesOwn 3β5 paid channels end-to-end β launch, scale, and optimize campaigns to hit subscriber and ROI goalsManage bidding, budgets, and audience targeting, adjusting strategy as performance and platform conditions shiftAssess and test new channels, partners, and ad formats β always asking what the next big channel for us could beMake decisions on a lifetime-value basis, not just front-end cost β LTV-based thinking is core to how this role operatesUnderstand how each channel feeds the broader subscription funnelBring testing ideas across the full funnel β copy, product, offers, instant-upgrade flows, pricing β not just inside the ad platformUse data rigorously to identify opportunities others miss, and translate them into actionLead creative generation for your channels β a wide variety of ads, formats, and anglesTest into what works and iterate quickly; comfortable writing and testing your own ad copyBe highly data fluent β measure and analyze performance across channels and surface actionable insightUnderstand our tools and data flow well enough to spot when something isnβt tracking or behaving as expectedRun rigorous, well-structured tests with a relentless drive to beat the controlUse AI tools daily across creative generation, copywriting, data analysis, and more to move faster and test morePartner with our tech team to build and improve AI workflows and automations for your channels as they automate parts of channel managementBring a point of view on where AI can take on routine execution and where human judgment still wins, and help us draw that line as the tooling maturesStay current on AI capabilities relevant to paid media, creative, and analytics, and bring the best of it back to the teamSkillsDemonstrated depth in paid channel management β hands-on experience owning and scaling channels such as Google, Bing, Meta, and native/prospecting platforms (Taboola, Dianomi, LiveIntent, and similar)Hands-on experience using AI in your marketing work β AI workflows, AI for data analysis, AI for creative generation β and the appetite to push automation furtherExcellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to turn analysis into action and a relentless drive to beat the controlA customer-centric mindset, collaborative attitude, and the motivation to work entrepreneurially on a lean, dynamic teamExperience marketing subscription products and thinking in terms of LTV, retention, and funnel economicsFamiliarity with direct-response marketing β advertorials, VSLs, order pages, and conversion optimizationExposure to advertising under compliance and legal limitationsExperience and excitement around the world of investingCompany OverviewThe Motley Fool is a multimedia financial services company providing websites, books, newspaper columns, TV appearances, and newsletters.
