The role involves overseeing the development of a product that assists sales organizations in planning quotas and territory design, while collaborating with various teams to ensure effective product delivery.ResponsibilitiesLead and grow a distributed engineering team with a strong culture of trust, accountability, and high-quality executionPartner with Product and Design to shape roadmap, scope, and product strategy for Sales PlanningDrive delivery of customer-facing capabilities across quota planning, territory design, and capacity planning, balancing speed, usability, reliability, and scaleCoach engineers across levels, from junior through staff, and create opportunities for technical leadership and growth across the teamSet technical direction and architectural guardrails, working with engineers and partner teams to make sound long-term tradeoffsImprove team execution through better planning, operating rhythms, dependency management, and measurement of outcomesSkills8+ years of software development experience as an engineer and/or engineering manager2+ years of engineering management experience, including people management, roadmap planning, and cross-functional executionExperience building and scaling early-stage or newly launched productsStrong product judgment and the ability to work closely with Product and Design on ambiguous, high-impact problemsTrack record of leading teams that ship reliable customer-facing systemsStrong written and interpersonal communication skillsComfort operating in startup environments with evolving requirements and significant ownershipBias toward measuring impact and using data to inform decisionsExperience with PythonExperience in the B2B SaaS marketExperience with financial modeling productsExperience building AI-enabled features or productsCompany OverviewCaptivateIQ develops a sales compensation platform designed to help businesses leverage the power of incentives to motivate teams.
