[Remote] Manager, Cost Accounting

They are seeking a Manager, Cost Accounting to oversee all aspects of cost accounting and inventory valuation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and GAAP.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the cost accounting team, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and a culture of accountabilityEstablish and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for managementSupport annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventoryProvide cost analysis to assist in pricing decisions and margin improvement strategiesPartner with Operations and Procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunitiesCollaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams to align cost data with financial statementsManage cost accounting aspects of external auditsDrive enhancements in ERP system (NetSuite) and cost accounting processes for better accuracy and efficiencyImplement best practices for cost tracking and analysisProvide cost analysis for new product introductions, capital projects, and purchasing decisionsMaintain accurate cost data for scenario planning and contingency analysisSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in cost accounting leadershipDemonstrate ability to lead and develop a cost accounting team, including goal setting, coaching, and managing teams competing prioritiesStrong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and ERP systems (NetSuite experience required)Experience designing and maintaining cost accounting internal controlsExperience developing pricing support models and margin analysis frameworks to inform commercial decision-makingProficiency in scenario planning and contingency cost modeling, with the ability to translate assumptions into financial projections for leadership decision-makingExperience leading ERP enhancements or system implementations related to cost accounting modulesProficiency in Excel for complex financial modeling, including pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas for cost analysisProven ability to diagnose complex cost problems, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings and recommendations clearlyAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple prioritiesExtensive experience collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Demand Planning, Procurement, and FP&A to align on cost initiativesBenefits20 accrued vacation days per year40 hours of paid sick leave annually3 paid mental health days9 paid holidays throughout the yearPaws & Claws coverageComprehensive life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability coverageComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plansHealth Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Confidential Employee Assistance ProgramAccident and critical illness plansEmployee 401(k) plan and company matchMonthly utility allowanceEmployee discount programWellness challengesPaid parental leaveRegular recognition initiativesOne paid volunteer day per yearCompany OverviewMANSCAPED creates a dynamic educational movement and culture focused on the importance of men’s health, hygiene, and refinement.
