[Remote] Management Analyst – Strategic Planning & Program Operations
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aptive Resources is seeking a Management Analyst to support the Million Veteran Program within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role involves providing strategic planning, operational coordination, and process improvement support to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness during a time of significant program activity and growth.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and help drive strategic planning activities, including development of pre-meeting materials, stakeholder outreach, facilitation support, documentation of decisions, action tracking, and follow-up activities necessary to move planning outcomes into implementationAssist leadership in translating strategic planning outcomes into actionable workstreams, implementation plans, milestones, and deliverablesTrack action items, deadlines, dependencies, and priorities across multiple initiatives and stakeholdersFacilitate communication and coordination among distributed teams, program leadership, and field-based stakeholdersAssess existing business processes and operational workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, consistency, and effectivenessDocument processes, workflows, business rules, and operational procedures through process maps, SOPs, guidance documents, templates, and job aidsDevelop recommendations to streamline routine program office activities and improve operational performanceSupport continuity-of-operations efforts through documentation of institutional knowledge, workflows, decisions, and recurring operational activitiesAssist with management of recurring program office activities, including tracking personnel requests, staffing actions, budget-related submissions, communications, and other administrative workflowsDevelop and maintain tracking tools, SharePoint-based solutions, document repositories, and workflow management resourcesCollaborate with technical staff and SharePoint administrators to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Forms, Lists, Teams, and Power AutomatePrepare executive summaries, status reports, briefing materials, meeting notes, and leadership updatesMonitor implementation progress and ensure timely follow-up on assigned actions and decisionsSkillsBachelor's degree in business administration, public health, research administration, organizational development, management, or a related fieldMinimum of four (4) years of experience supporting complex programs, organizational initiatives, strategic planning efforts, or business operationsExperience coordinating activities involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and cross-functional workgroupsExperience evaluating business processes and workflows and developing recommendations for operational improvementExperience creating SOPs, process documentation, workflow diagrams, guidance materials, templates, or knowledge management resourcesStrong organizational, analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including meeting coordination, stakeholder engagement, executive-level communications, and documentation of decisions and action itemsProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentAbility to obtain and maintain a public trust clearanceLegal authorization to work in the United StatesExperience supporting strategic planning initiatives, executive leadership teams, or organizational transformation effortsExperience using SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Forms, or similar workflow tools to support business process improvement and operational efficiencyFamiliarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Forms, or related workflow automation toolsExperience developing process maps, workflow analyses, business requirements, or operational improvement recommendationsExperience supporting federal government, healthcare, research, or Veterans Affairs programsLean Six Sigma, Prosci, PMP, or similar process improvement certification(s) would be helpfulCompany OverviewAptive Resources is a management consulting firm focused on human experience, digital services and business transformation.
