[Remote] Loan Accounting Representative

They are seeking a Loan Accounting Representative to support the accounting and servicing functions of the loan portfolio, ensuring accurate processing of loan transactions and maintaining reconciliations.ResponsibilitiesProcess daily deposits to multiple bank accountsPost daily cash receipts to the loan servicing system and reconcile transactions to the General LedgerGenerate and submit NACHA ACH files for processing and perform associated reconciliationsPost and remit loan payoff funds to investors as requiredProcess weekly remittances to the SBA through Pay.gov as neededPost secondary market settlements within the loan servicing systemBoard new loans into the loan servicing systemProcess loan servicing transactions including deferments, note modifications, payoff quotes, and accrual status changesPrepare documentation required for guaranteed loan salesReconcile loans and loan participations to ensure accurate accounting of serviced loansMaintain and reconcile Cash Balancing and Suspense worksheets to the General Ledger on a daily and monthly basis for various lending clientsAssist with month-end closing processes for servicing clientsCreate and maintain management reports related to loan accounting and servicing activitiesPerform general office duties including mail sorting and forwarding, document filing, and maintaining organized recordsProvide operational support to ensure efficient loan accounting and servicing processesSkillsPrior experience in loan servicing, banking operations, or accountingStrong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial or loan servicing systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle confidential financial information with discretionBachelor's degree in Accounting/FinanceCompany OverviewNewtekOne has helped businesses grow since 1998.
