[Remote] Legal Counsel

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ventra Health is a leading business solutions provider for facility-based physicians, focusing on Revenue Cycle Management. The Legal Counsel will support the company by reviewing and negotiating contracts, assisting with corporate governance, compliance, and other legal matters.ResponsibilitiesDraft and negotiate commercial contracts, including services agreements with healthcare customers, vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, software license agreements, settlement agreements, information security agreements, business associate agreements, and real estate transactionsProvide advice and counsel on contracts, disputes, risks, and potential legal liabilitiesSupport transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financingConduct research on relevant legal issuesMonitor and advise employees of relevant changes in law, policy, or guidance in the health care industrySupport HR department regarding employment-related mattersContinuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal contract support within the company while maintaining the quality and consistency of contracts across the organizationAssist the company with its compliance programSkillsJuris Doctorate degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school with strong academic credentialsLicensed to practice law in the U.SExperience working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and demandsProficiency in legal research, including Lexis, Westlaw, and other research tools, as well as experience with file and document management technologyWell-organized with excellent attention to detailStrong ethical standardsAbility to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policiesAbility to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional mannerUnderstand and comply with company policies and proceduresStrong leadership/management skills to manage, motivate, and set expectations with team membersStrong judgment skills and problem-solving skillsStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong time management, organizational, and decision-making skillsPreference given to candidates with corporate or healthcare legal experience at a law firm, corporation, or health care related companyBenefitsAs part of our robust Rewards & Recognition program, this role is eligible for our Ventra performance-based incentive plan, because we believe great work deserves great rewardsHelp Us Grow Our Dream Team — Join Us, Refer a Friend, and Earn a Referral Bonus!Company Overview“Ventra Health is a revenue cycle management organization serving hospital-based provider.
