[Remote] Layout Engineer

They are seeking a Traveling Layout Engineer to review project documents, participate in layout and field engineering activities, and assist with surveying activities.ResponsibilitiesReview project documentsUnderstand the objections of the site survey and provides horizontal and vertical control using Total StationsParticipate in basic layout and field engineering activities. These activities would include: Establish control lines from control pointsLayout FoundationsLayout vertical formwork such as columns and wallsEstablish elevation control pointsLayout decks and deck edgesLayout required embeds block-outs and other items required by contractAssist in the performance of a variety of surveying activitiesProvide clerical support and documentation of engineering activitiesMaintain proper usage and storage of all surveying equipmentContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related assignments as neededWorking during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project siteSkillsMinimum of one year of experience in field engineering/lay-outGood communication skills; written, verbal, interpersonalProficient at reading and understanding contract drawing, including but not limited to both structural and architectural drawings, with the ability to cross check between the two documents as neededAbility to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environmentPossess knowledge of construction field engineering from pre-construction to completionBenefitsPer diemVehicleBonus opportunitiesCompany OverviewOur team of the industry’s most talented and knowledgeable concrete construction professionals is dedicated to putting more into the pour to ensure success in everything that we do.
