They are seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to build and maintain relationships with key customers while driving revenue and profitability through strategic initiatives and effective communication of their value proposition.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Key Account Director in the development of the strategic customer initiatives to deliver/achieve profit targets and customer goalsDevelop and maintain favorable relationships with new clients to increase revenueMaintain and enhance relationships with key accounts to drive revenue and profit growthIdentify Customer Needs: Use analytical thought to recommend product or services enhancements or modifications to identify innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction and sales potentialWork with all customer interfaces within accounts to influence, develop and implement improved ways of realizing the full genetic performance potential in customer farmsPrepare and manage the annual budget for area of responsibility, monitor and adjust sales operations as appropriate to meet forecastsNegotiate, sustain and renew customer contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyaltyCommunicate and sell the value proposition effectively to key industry contacts, including customer and prospects, to drive business growthIdentify, target and converts prospects and opportunities to new businessDue to specialized knowledge, typically leads teams/projects to grow business and gain market share leading by exampleInform customers regarding new product/service offerings and pricingDevelop an account plan and effectively utilize internal resources to implement necessary actions to achieve growth and profitability in assigned accounts and area of responsibilityCreate, monitor and adjust lead generation plans to maintain a robust sales opportunity pipelineBusiness Intelligence: Research market trends; maintain current awareness of industry and competitor information and analyze data and sales statisticsReporting: Prepare and present reports to stakeholders regarding the current status of the Company's relationships with key accountsTravel approximately 50%SkillsBachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related field12+ years of experience in swine sales, including a strong understanding of production metrics, business impact, and financial management.
