[Remote] Kafka Consulting Architect

Signature IT World Inc is seeking a seasoned Confluent Kafka Consulting Engineer/Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, distributed event streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the Event Streaming domain and adjacent technologies, with a strong ability to architect complex systems and mentor teams. Responsibilities • Architect and design distributed systems with integrated Confluent Kafka components • Lead customer engagements across the Data In Motion Blueprint (DIMB), aligning Professional Services impact across each layer • Assess and optimize customer Confluent environments against best practices • Apply advanced concepts such as Data Mesh and Central Nervous System in solution design • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Kafka and 2–3 adjacent technologies (Cloud, Security, Data Ecosystems) • Ensure alignment with Technical Well-Architected Pillars • Mentor and support junior architects and engineers • Take ownership of project challenges and drive them to resolution Skills • Minimum years of experience: 10+ years • Proven expertise in Event Streaming architectures and Kafka ecosystem • Strong understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns • Experience with Confluent Use Cases and platform optimization • Hands-on knowledge of adjacent technologies: Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), data security, and data platforms • Demonstrated ability to lead technical conversations and influence architecture decisions • Track record of mentoring and team leadership • Confluent Kafka • Cloud • AWS • Flink Company Overview • Our Mission is to provide our customers with services and solutions to optimize their information systems throughout their company and provide the best possible service to our employees.
