[Remote] Junior Copywriter

Athena SWC LLC is a sales and marketing development agency based in Amherst, NY, seeking a Junior Copywriter to produce content for B2B manufacturing clients. The role involves creating web copy, blogs, and social media content, while collaborating closely with the internal team and client stakeholders. Responsibilities Produce monthly blogs, web pages, and social media content for assigned clients Provide copy support to the web development and design team, as required Join client calls to understand the client’s environment and write strong content that brings in quality web traffic Use Google Analytics and Search Console to inform content decisions Work in platforms including Moz, WordPress, Pipedrive, and others Skills A love for writing 1-2 years in a writing, content, SEO, or marketing role Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred; associate's degree required Self-starter with a track record of hitting deadlines and working without much oversight Eager to take on new client industries and subject matter, including manufacturing and technical topics Driven to keep improving — on the craft, the tools, and the results Open to feedback and willing to revise without taking it personally Collaborative, reliable, and straightforward with teammates and managers Reads a room — understands when to push, when to listen, and when to ask for help Self-aware enough to know their own gaps and proactive about filling them Comfortable in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Familiar with project workflow tools such as Basecamp Some exposure to SEO tools such as Moz, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner Experience writing for manufacturing clients is a plus A technical writing background is a plus Experience with WordPress is a plus Benefits Fully remote or hybrid work environment, depending on employee location Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options Paid holidays, 2 flexible holidays per year, and 3 weeks annual PTO PTO increases with tenure Employee appreciation days and team events Dress for your day policy Regular training and ongoing feedback Company Overview Athena SWC, LLC is an outsourced provider of new business development, demand generation and management, marketing and sales support process services (combination of people, process methodology and tools) focused on B2B, complex sales environments.
