[Remote] Insurance Specialist - Audit Support

The Insurance Specialist - Audit Support will provide administrative support by verifying insurance eligibility, updating records, and assisting auditors, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Responsibilities β€’ Verify insurance eligibility and benefits utilizing online and phone resources β€’ Determine documentation, authorization, and referral requirements through verification of benefits β€’ Update insurance and document records within MedTrack, an internal database, to support client services and claim payment processes. β€’ Interpret reference material to make informed decisions regarding insurance requirements β€’ Communicate insurance eligibility and benefits to key stakeholders to assist in client account maintenance. β€’ Remediate complex insurance situations β€’ Cross flow pertinent information with applicable team members within the Organization β€’ Support Team Supervisor on miscellaneous projects. β€’ Assist auditors by answering questions and providing requested information β€’ Handle incoming calls to the local phone number, to include voicemail. β€’ Track local inventory. β€’ Service walk-in customers with supply needs. β€’ Transmit received documentation, to include physical correspondence, via scan, fax, email and/or phone, to the appropriate personnel. β€’ Complete Annual and Quarterly compliance office checklist. β€’ Assist auditors by answering questions, providing information and office tour when requested. β€’ Keep local office and warehouse/inventory professional and neat Skills β€’ Must have a high school diploma, college degree preferred, not required. β€’ Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. β€’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy β€’ Problem-solving and critical thinking skills β€’ Effective written and oral communication β€’ Ability to work independently with applicable direction β€’ Flexible and adaptable to change in environment and industry β€’ Work with integrity, upholding organizational values and Code of Ethics β€’ Clear reasoning on prioritizing multiple tasks and satisfactory organizational skills β€’ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients of 180 Medical, insurance companies, and staff β€’ Sufficient understanding and ability to effectively operate a computer, navigate through software applications, and utilize various digital tools and resources β€’ Typing: 50 wpm (adjusted) highly recommended Company Overview β€’ ConvaTec specializes in the development, manufacture, distribution of single-use devices to hospitals and healthcare sectors.
