They are seeking an Instructional Design Assistant to support the design and development of training courses, collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and enhancement of current training programs and online content to increase engagement and knowledge retentionProvide recommendations for course interface design, architecture, navigation, and content arrangementCraft instructional design documents for review, revision, and implementationSupport the design and production of e-learning sites within the context of personal and organizational development, utilizing content authoring technology, graphic design tools, and other e-learning softwareReview and apply emerging trends in e-learning, instructional design, universal design, and accessibilityDesign course materials that reflect an understanding of adult learning theory and varied learning stylesWork with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new content and/or convert existing content into online formatsEnsure outstanding customer service is provided to all internal and external customersUtilize Microsoft Office applications and eLearning authoring tools to prepare documents and presentationsSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentOne year of instructional design or curriculum development work experienceIndividuals who live in the Tallahassee area and can report to campus as needed1 - 2 years of instructional design or curriculum development work experienceExperience utilizing Articulate Rise, Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, and video development softwareStrong enthusiasm for creating high-quality online courses and engaging learning experiencesProven ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independentlyCommitment to delivering a positive customer experienceDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologyExcellent follow-through, attention to detail, and organizational skillsUnderstanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theoriesBenefitsThis position is up to 20 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.This position has been designated as eligible for remote work based on the current position/job function.Company OverviewFlorida State University is an American public space-grant and sea-grant research uivnersity.
