The Engagement Coordinator drives effective delivery across the department by building strong relationships with IT and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment to business goals, and maintaining visibility across the full portfolio of work throughout the SDLC.ResponsibilitiesExecute procedures to ensure information technology solutions and services meet company standards and user requirementsAssist in the development of project business casesDefine, document, and manage project scopeDevelop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgetsTrack and report on project progress, milestones, risks, and issuesIdentify, document, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies as appropriateDevelop resourcing plans and coordinate project staffing needsDetermine project team structure; define roles and responsibilitiesProvide direction to project teams and coordinate activities across multiple organizational functionsAssign work, motivate team members, and ensure deliverables align with project plansPrepare and deliver clear, timely communications to project teams, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committees, and managementSkills1–4 years of project management experienceExperience managing multiple small to medium-sized projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to create and manage project budgets, schedules, and plansStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively with guidance or supervision in a mid-level roleProduct experience in one or more lines of businessCertification or coursework in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or equivalent)Experience working in an information technology or business systems environmentCompany OverviewHorace Mann provides auto insurance, life insurance, and financial services.
