[Remote] Human Resources Manager

The role involves managing HR team members, providing support for employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with HR programs and processes.ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, leave programs, performance management, and employee relationsManage and support current members of the HR team; provide direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of HR services across the organizationProvide practical guidance and support to managers on day-to-day employee matters, including development conversations, performance feedback, and corrective actionBuild trust by handling sensitive employee matters with discretion, fairness, and integritySupport the management of employee-benefits programs, including health and welfare plans and open enrollment; ensuring compliance; and working closely with brokers and third-party vendorsPartner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring efforts and ensure a consistent and positive experience for candidates and new hiresConduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes to gather insights and support continuous improvementAssist in the design, maintenance, and ongoing refinement of job descriptions, job leveling frameworks, and compensation structures in alignment with company standards and legal requirementsSupport the performance-review process by providing tools, guidance, and training to managers and employeesEnsure HR programs, practices, and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment lawsFacilitate and deliver training related to leadership development, performance management, and employee engagementMonitor changes in labor laws and regulations and recommend updates policies and procedures to maintain organizational complianceContribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, templates, and resources across the organizationSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of seven years of progressive HR experience partnering with managers and employees across the organization and serving as a trusted advisor on people strategy, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectivenessStrong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and the full employee lifecycleExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build trust at all levels of the organizationExperience using Paylocity or a similar HRIS to support core HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, reporting, and management of employee dataSound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential informationAbility to work independently in a distributed, remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partnersExperience supporting HR functions within a government contracting environmentExperience working in an employee-owned (ESOP) organizationExperience supporting a distributed workforce in a consulting, health IT, or professional-services environmentBenefitsFlexible remote work arrangementsHealth and welfare plansOpen enrollmentIn-person collaboration during key events such as our annual company meetingCompany OverviewLantana Consulting Group provides software and services for hospitals, insurance provides and government agencies.
