The HRFS Consultant - Workday Payroll acts as a trusted advisor, providing expertise in Workday Payroll functionality and managing project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, while ensuring client satisfaction and system optimization.ResponsibilitiesLead or support Workday Payroll implementations, enhancements, and ongoing client support engagementsGather business requirements and translate them into effective Workday Payroll solutionsProvide functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilizationPartner with clients to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimizationProvide consultative guidance and recommendations based on Workday leading practices and industry standardsTroubleshoot complex payroll system issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolutionServe as a point of escalation for payroll-related client concerns and system issuesSupport clients through organizational, process, and system changes impacting payroll operationsConfigure and maintain Workday Payroll functionality based on client requirementsCreate, modify, and troubleshoot Workday reports and dashboards to support business and operational reporting needsAnalyze payroll processes and reporting requirements to deliver scalable solutionsSupport testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, payroll parallel testing, and user acceptance testingCollaborate with technical and integration teams to ensure accurate data flow and system functionalityBuild strong working relationships with clients, project team members, and internal stakeholdersProvide guidance and support to less experienced consultants through knowledge sharing and review of deliverablesParticipate in governance meetings, client status meetings, and project reviews as neededSupport Client Service Managers, Service Delivery Managers, and Domain Leads in strategic client discussionsContribute to internal initiatives focused on methodology improvements, process optimization, documentation, and best practice developmentStay informed on payroll-related legislative, regulatory, and compliance requirementsSupport clients in evaluating and implementing required payroll updates and changesPromote adherence to established service delivery standards, implementation methodologies, and payroll best practicesProvide Workday Payroll subject matter expertise during sales pursuits, client presentations, and solution discussions as neededSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience4+ years of experience in payroll, payroll technology consulting, HR technology consulting, HCM consulting, or a related fieldHands-on experience with Workday PayrollExperience supporting client-facing projects, implementations, or managed services engagementsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Workday reportsExperience supporting Workday Payroll implementations, optimization projects, or ongoing support engagementsKnowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance considerationsExperience with Workday HCM and related Workday modulesUnderstanding of payroll operations, service delivery models, and process improvement methodologiesExperience mentoring junior consultants or leading workstreams within larger projectsMinimum of 2 years of client-facing consulting experience requiredExperience working with Workday Payroll in a consulting, implementation, support, or managed services environment strongly preferredBenefitsHealth coverageWellbeing programsPaid leave (vacation, sick, parental)Retirement plansLearning opportunitiesBonus and/or incentive eligibility are determined by role and levelContinuing education & trainingCompany OverviewStrada is a payroll and tech company that offers workforce management with cloud solutions and services for multinational organizations.
