[Remote] HR Associate Consultant

The HR Associate Consultant provides day-to-day HR support and project execution for multiple clients, focusing on employee relations, recruiting, payroll coordination, compliance, and core HR processes.ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary HR contact for assigned clients, providing responsive, professional supportBuild strong client relationships and maintain regular communication with leaders, including executive teamsManage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines with strong organization and follow-throughRecognize when to escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk HR mattersSupport recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding activitiesProvide benefits administration and enrollment supportSupport leave administration and compliance trackingMaintain accurate HR records, job descriptions, and employee classificationsProvide practical guidance on employee relations matters using company policy and applicable employment lawsSupport investigations, performance management, and corrective action documentation, with escalation as neededHelp ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policiesExecute assigned HR projects, such as handbook updates, audits, process improvements, and recruiting initiativesManage project timelines and deliverables with strong attention to detail and qualityMaintain project tracking, status updates, and accurate timekeeping in project management toolsCommunicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, and internal team membersParticipate in team meetings, training sessions, and organizational updatesMaintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the roleSkills3-6 years of progressive HR experienceExperience managing multiple clients, projects, or business units simultaneously; HR consulting or client-facing experience preferredStrong time management and ability to prioritize competing deadlinesStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust and deliver resultsPolished communication skills and comfort interacting with executive leadersDemonstrated integrity and sound judgment aligned with Missionwell's values and client needsHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-throughA proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and escalate when appropriateWorking knowledge of employee relations best practices, HR compliance, HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity or similar preferred), and recruiting and onboarding processesExperience supporting faith-based or nonprofit organizations is strongly preferredSHRM-CP, PHR, or a similar HR certification is preferredExperience managing multiple clients, projects, or business units simultaneously; HR consulting or client-facing experience preferredWorking knowledge of employee relations best practices, HR compliance, HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity or similar preferred), and recruiting and onboarding processesExperience supporting faith-based or nonprofit organizations is strongly preferredSHRM-CP, PHR, or a similar HR certification is preferredBenefitsThis fully remote role includes an internet allowance.Company OverviewMissionwell provides nonprofits with Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Corporate and Board Support services, so you can focus on your mission and increase your impact.
