The Healthcare Copywriter is responsible for developing and managing corporate communications and member-facing content that educates individuals about their health benefits, focusing on creating clear and culturally relevant content that simplifies complex insurance concepts.ResponsibilitiesWrite, edit, and proofread high-quality content for corporate communications and member education materials in both English and SpanishDevelop member-facing materials such as welcome guides, FAQs, newsletters, website content, email campaigns, social media posts, and printed brochures to explain health benefitsCreate engaging, culturally appropriate messaging that considers literacy levels, language nuances, and member needsTranslate complex insurance concepts into simple, easy-to-understand language that empowers members to utilize their benefitsEnsure all communications adhere to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines while maintaining accuracy and clarityCollaborate with designers, developers, and marketing colleagues to create compelling visual and written contentDevelop Spanish-language content that is not just a direct translation but is culturally relevant and audience-appropriateWork closely with member-facing teams to understand key concerns and barriers for Spanish speaking populationsEnsure that health literacy best practices are applied to all communications, making insurance concepts more accessible and actionableSupport education campaigns that increase member awareness and utilization of health benefitsAssist with the development of strategic marketing campaigns that support member retention and engagement effortsSupport community engagement initiatives with language that builds partnerships and engages diverse audiencesAnalyze member feedback and engagement metrics to continuously improve content effectivenessSupport corporate messaging and executive communications, including internal announcements, leadership updates, press releases, and presentationsPartner with Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, and other departments to develop effective internal and external communicationsManage and refine crisis communication strategies to ensure timely and transparent messagingWork with legal and compliance teams to review materials for accuracy and regulatory complianceUtilize all capabilities to satisfy one mission — to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of our members.
